Know what is in the toy box. Give it a little care.
Start with the individual toy.
Wood is at the heart of our collection, but every design is different. Some products also contain paint, fabric, cord, metal or other components. Check the specific product description and selected option for the materials supplied by the manufacturer.
Natural variations in grain and colour are part of wood's appearance. Product photographs show the design; an individual piece may differ slightly in shade or pattern.
What our material descriptions mean.
“Wooden” describes a material. It does not, by itself, mean that every component is natural, that a toy is biodegradable, or that it holds an environmental or safety certification. We only identify specific certifications where supporting information is available for that product.
A gentler everyday clean.
Always follow the instructions supplied with your toy. Where the finish allows, use a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry promptly. Avoid soaking wooden parts, putting them in a dishwasher or leaving them in prolonged moisture. Follow the manufacturer's guidance for painted surfaces, fabric and mixed-material components.
Before every new adventure.
- Check for loose pieces, cracks, splinters, damaged cords or worn components.
- Stop using a damaged toy and contact us if you need help.
- Store toys in a dry place, away from persistent heat and moisture.
- Keep packaging and manufacturer instructions for age guidance and warnings.
Choose for the child.
Age suitability varies by product. Some designs contain small parts and are unsuitable for younger children. Do not infer an age recommendation from a photograph or collection name. Follow all warnings and supervise play where instructed.
